Halo McKenzie Davis

Halo McKenzie Davis is a vibrant 9-year-old Canadian of Barbadian descent. In school, Halo is amongst a few students that have been admitted to her school’s rigorous French immersion program. The program has allowed Halo to not only learn Canada’s official second language but more importantly, learn the value of being able to communicate with others who speak languages that differ from hers. Most recently, Halo has begun independently learning Japanese! At school, Halo also takes pride in being a leader, a teammate, and an advocate of kindness, as such, she has been the recipient for the Virtue of the Month certificate throughout the years. Outside of school, Halo enjoys exhibiting her creativity in numerous ways that include, but are not limited to, technology, science experiments, performative arts, singing and craft. Additionally, Halo actively takes dancing and swimming classes to explore her passions and strengthen her skills.

As a result of her passion for dance, in September 2020, Halo earned a full scholarship to attend Canada’s National School of Ballet! Born to her Barbadian mom, Halo loves learning about her Barbadian heritage and enjoys spending time in Barbados during the summers with her grandmother. Overall, Halo is profoundly energetic and loves living in a state of constant learning, growth, and fun. Her future will be one of greatness, excellence, and one where she positively impacts change.
