The Caribbean Event will be held on Saturday 27th at Peter & Paul Banquet Hall located at 231 Milner Ave in Scarborough. This is a private event. Guests will receive a newsletter and invitation via email from the Grant Morris Foundation.

This is our annual summer scholarship gala and is the flagship fundraiser for the Grant Morris Foundation. This event attracts 500+ people from the Toronto Metro area and abroad. Past events have included guests from the Caribbean, the United States, the UK, etc. who are on hand to witness scholarship awards, meet the students and celebrate their talents and achievements.

In 2024 we have set a $100,000 fundraising goal which will allow us to meet our scholarship commitment to 16 deserving students currently matriculating through university.

Refurbished Computers

As residents of Canada, we take much for granted. One only has to travel around the world to experience how others are experiencing life. In my travels throughout the Caribbean Islands and hearing from our Caribbean event members, it is evident that there is much more to be done to assist our brothers and sisters. By taking small steps, much can be achieved. In this respect, we have embarked upon a program of setting up computer labs mainlyin rural schools throughout the Caribbean. This has been achieved with the help of Christian Paradis of Amec Canada, who provided some 208 computers, with Grant Morris associates Ltd., providing the Microsoft software, computer mice, keyboards, monitors and shipping costs. These computers have been reconditioned and updated with the latest Microsoft software by our IT Specialists, Carl Duncan and Monty Thomas.

To date, these refurbished computers have been shipped to schools in Antigua, St. Kitts, Grenada, St., Lucia, St. Vincent, Barbados and Guyana. The Substance Abuse Foundation of Barbados was also the recipient of five (5) computers, to expand and upgrade their program.
