Kavone Manning (2023)

Kavone is a 21 year student at Western University, entering her final year at the Don Wright Faculty of Music. She is pursuing her degree in music education, as she hopes to become a music teacher.

This past year she worked on campus as a Residence Don for the second year to help guide first year students in their transition to university.

She has sat on Western’s Early Outreach Executive team as a Program Director to help plan and organize the Early Outreach Conference. The purpose of the conference REACH is to help young students thinking about their futures and endless options at the university level. The goal is to also build confidence in students and cultivate community with the London community. She is excited to take on the Coordinator role and lead in organizing the 2022 conference.

In her fourth year, Kavone will be applying to various teacher education programs to pursue her Masters and teacher certification. Kavone is also looking forward to her final year of her undergraduate degree and graduating with friends and family.
